Play Pocket Manager for Android · Buckminster Interactive
Last updated 16 September 2026
Play Pocket Manager is a single-player football card game. This policy explains, plainly, what the Android app stores, what it sends, and what you can do about it.
The short version. The app shows no adverts, contains no analytics or tracking software, and asks for no account, name, email address or permissions. Your game is saved on your device. Cloud backup is your choice: the first time you open the app it asks, and if you say no, your game stays on your phone and nothing is sent. There is one optional purchase, handled entirely by Google Play — we never see your card details.
Your progress is kept in the app's own local storage. It leaves your device only if you choose to: cloud backup (section 2), sharing your club on the World Board (section 3), or a feedback message you send (section 4).
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your club, squad, card collection, coins, season and career history | so the game can continue where you left off |
| Your settings — sound, music, theme, layout, bigger text, reduce motion | so your choices persist |
| Whether you chose to turn cloud backup on or off | so you are asked once, not every time. It is kept on this device only and is never included in a save code. |
| A local play log of in-game events | used only for diagnosing problems on your own device. It is never transmitted. |
| A copy of any save file the game could not read | kept so a damaged save can be recovered rather than silently overwritten |
| Whether you have bought the full career unlock | stored in encrypted app storage so you can play offline. It is a yes/no flag and nothing more. |
Uninstalling the app removes all of it. Starting a new game from the in-game settings clears your progress on the device.
Cloud backup keeps a copy of your club so you do not lose it if you change or lose your phone. It is off until you turn it on. The first time you open the app, it asks: Back up my club or Keep it on this phone. Neither is chosen for you.
Please read this if you are a parent. Cloud backup is off unless the player turns it on, and the app explains it before asking. If it is on, it stores game progress under a random identifier, not a person. You can check or change the choice in Settings, and the game is fully playable with cloud backup off and without a network connection.
The app includes an optional public leaderboard. It is off unless you deliberately turn it on and agree to publish.
If you turn it on, these are published: your club name, club badge and colour, squad rating, matches played, wins, draws, seasons completed, titles, cups, a shareable squad code, and an anonymous identifier. That identifier is created when you turn sharing on, and your save is not uploaded unless you have also turned cloud backup on. Club names are filtered before publication.
You can look at the World Board without being on it. Looking sends nothing that identifies you.
Turning sharing off deletes your row — it does not merely stop updating it.
The app has a feedback box. It sends something only when you write a message and press Send.
These fields are sent, and no others: the feedback type you choose, your message, the app build and version number, which screen you were on, your browser engine and device type as reported by the system, and the window size. Your save, save code, squad, collection, club name and contact details are never included. Because no contact detail is sent, we cannot reply to feedback — please use the email address in section 8 if you need an answer.
The app is free to download and the whole of your first season is free. Continuing into Season 2 requires a single permanent purchase.
The app declares one permission, com.android.vending.BILLING, which exists solely
so Google Play can process the optional purchase.
The game is suitable for children and contains no adverts and no manipulative monetisation. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The purchase screen asks the player to check with a grown-up before buying. Parents can control or disable purchases using Google Play's parental controls.
Feedback messages cannot be deleted from inside the app. Nor can a cloud save if you uninstalled the app without turning cloud backup off first, because the anonymous identifier is removed with the app. To have either removed, email the address below. Please include your club name and, if you can, your squad code from the World Board panel, so the right record can be found. We will confirm once it is done.

Cloud saves, leaderboard entries and feedback are held by Supabase, our hosting provider, and are protected by row-level access rules so that one player cannot read another's save. Purchases are handled by Google. We do not transfer data to anyone else.
This policy is written for the Android app. The Steam edition for Windows is simpler: it makes no network connections of its own. It has no cloud backup, does not publish to the World Board and cannot send feedback. Your club is saved only on your computer. If you choose to open a link, such as the review page, it opens in your web browser. Buying the game on Steam is handled by Valve.
If what the app collects changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
